Emily Jane Browning is an Australian actress and model, born on 7 December 1988. She's probably best known for her role as Violet Baudelaire in Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004).Emily Browning has appeared in several Australian and American movies, namely The Man Who Sued God (2001), Ghost Ship (2002), Ned Kelly (2003), and Darkness Falls (2003). She has also been seen in The Uninvited (2009), alongside Arielle Kebbel and Elizabeth Banks.
She has been cast to replace Mia Wasikowska in an upcoming Australian indie movie, Sleeping Beauty, written by Australian novelist Julia Leigh. She will also be playing the protagonist in Sucker Punch (2011), alongside Jena Malone, Abbie Cornish, Vanessa Hudgens, Jamie Chung, and Carla Gugino.
