Placebo is an alternative rock band form in London in 1994, currently comprised of Brian Molko, Stefan Olsdal, and Steve Forrest.
The band has released 6 studio albums and 2 compilation albums, with 31 singles released throughout their entire career so far. Their hits include Pure Morning, and one of my favourite songs of their's is Every You Every Me, taken from Placebo's second album, Without You I'm Nothing (1998).
Placebo's single, Post Blue, taken from their fifth album Meds (2006), was also featured on One Tree Hill season 4. It's another favourite of mine. Go listen!
The song I'm featuring this week is Running Up That Hill, originally sung by 70's singer Kate Bush. The song has been featured on The Vampire Diaries, Bones, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and The O.C. The song was also featured in Daybreakers (2009) movie trailer, and in the movie From Paris With Love.
