Wizards of Waverly Place is a Disney Channel original fantasy tv sitcom. Premiered on 12 October 2007, the show will return for its 4th and final season, possibly airing late 2010 or early 2011.
The show stars Selena Gomez as Alex Russo, David Henrie, Jake T. Austin, Jennifer Stone, Maria Canais Barrera, and David DeLuise. The show revolves around the life of the Italian-Mexican Russo kids who are all wizards, with their former wizard father and mortal mother.
The series opening song is sung by Selena Gomez, titled Everything is Not What It Seems.
The series has been made into a movie, Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie. The movie premiered on 28 August 2009. The sequel to the first movie is said to be in development.
