Mia Wasikowska (pronounced as vah-shee-kov-ska) is the next young star to watch. She has been chosen to play the role of Alice in Tim Burton’s interpretation of Alice in Wonderland (2010).Mia is an Australian actress and she has gained critical acclaim for her acting in HBO’s In Treatment, opposite Gabriel Byrne. She was also nominated for her performance in Suburban Mayhem (2006).
Mia was seen in Amelia (2009), a biographical film about Amelia Earhart, alongside Hilary Swank, Richard Gere and Ewan McGregor. She has also appeared on The Kids Are Alright (2010).Mia Wasikowska will be seen next in a drama/romance film called Jane Eyre (2011), opposite Judi Dench, Jamie Bell, Sally Hawkins and Imogen Poots.
She has also completed Restless (2011), and is currently filming Albert Nobbs (2011) with Aaron Johnson and Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and A View from the Bridge (2011) with Vera Farmiga, Sebastian Stan, and Anthony LaPaglia.
The family and I will see Alice in Wonderland this weekend... :D hopefully nothing goes wrong and the plan pushes through! Chakai is dying to see it! :D
