Daydream Nation is a romantic drama movie, directed by Michael Goldbach. The movie follows a city girl who moves to a small town, and becomes trapped in a love triangle between her high school teacher and a stoner classmate.
The movie stars Kat Dennings as Caroline Wexler, Reece Thompson as Thurston, Josh Lucas, Andie MacDowell, and Natasha Calis.
The movie premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on 10 September 2010, and is scheduled for limited release on 15 April 2011 in Canada and 6 May 2011 in the US.
