Broken Social Scene is an indie rock band from Canada. The band was formed in 1999 by Kevin Drew and Brendan canning. It is a musical collective, including anywhere from 6 to 19 members. The band's genre is sometimes depicted as indie rock, art rock, dream pop, and baroque pop.
Broken Social Scene members include Brendan Canning, Kevin Drew, Justin Peroff, Charles Spearin, Andrew Whiteman, Sam Goldberg, Jason Collett, David Newfeld, Leslie Feist, Emily Haines, James Shaw, Evan Cranley, Amy Millan, Ohad Benchetrit, John Crossingham, Martin Davis Kinack, Jo-ann Goldsmith, Bill Priddle, Torquil Campbell, Adam Marvy, Lisa Lobsinger, Julie Penner, Jason Tait, Elizabeth Powell, and John McEntire.

Their songs have also been included in soundtracks for tv series Queer as Folk, and in movie soundtracks for Wicker Park (2004), The Tracey Fragments (2007), The Time Traveler's Wife (2009), and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010).
The latest film score that they've worked on is for the move, It's Kind of a Funny Story (2010), starring Keir Gilchrist, Zach Galifianakis and Emma Roberts.
Here's a song by Broken Social Scene for the movie Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) called Anthem for a 17-Year-Old Girl. Other songs by Broken Social Scene that are included in the soundtrack are I'm So Sad, So Very Sad and We Hate You Please Die, although the latter two were credited as "Crash & The Boys". Enjoy!
