Season 6 of One Tree Hill ended with Peyton and Lucas getting married and having a beautiful baby girl, Sawyer Brooke Scott. Season 7 of One Tree Hill started some 14 months into the future from the 6th season finale, without Peyton (Hilarie Burton) and Lucas (Chad Michael Murray).

The other old One Tree Hill cast have been seen reprising their roles, such as Sophia Bush as Brooke Davis, Bethany Joy Galeotti as Haley James Scott, James Lafferty as Nathan Scott, and Jackson Brundage as James “Jamie” Lucas Scott. Other returning cast include Antwon Tanner, Lisa Goldstein and Paul Johansson.

The new season also include Austin Nichols as a series regular as Brooke Davis’s love interest, Julian Baker, and the hottie Danneel Harris has returned as Rachel Gatina.

New characters have been introduced, such as Clayton, played by Robert Buckley, Shantel VanSanten as Haley’s elder sister, Quinn James, and Jana Kramer as Alexis, Brooke’s model for “Clothes Over Bros.”. India de Beaufort will be appearing as Miranda Stone, Peyton’s replacement as the manager for the label Red Bedroom Records.

Many hardcore fans of OTH have expressed their disagreement (and sadness) on Hilarie Burton’s and Chad Michael Murray’s decision for not returning to the series, but I'm actually loving the new season! Hopefully more fans will be watching it with open hearts and minds. However, on 6 February 2010, it was confirmed that the show may not be continuing to its 8th season because of contract disputes and it may be cancelled. :(

No 8th season?!? I hope not...I love the show, since the very beginning. This season has changed a lot since its started, but I still like it.

My sister is an avid fan of the show, and so I became a fan too, although I have only seen a couple of seasons... :D
ReplyDeleteSeason 7 without Lucas and Peyton isn't the same though and I wish they'd make an appearance, if the show is going to be cancelled, I hope Lucas and Peyton get to come back and the show would have the perfect ending.. :)
Most shows don't even get passed Season 5 so ending it with Season 7 sounds good.. :)
