Who is James McAvoy?

James McAvoy is a Scottish actor. The 31-year old is known for his roles in movies such as The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005), Penelope (2006), Atonement (2007), and Wanted (2008).

Last year, we saw him in The Last Station (2009) as Valentin Bulgakov, alongside Helen Mirren, Christopher Plummer, Paul Giamatti and Anne-Marie Duff.

James McAvoy has recently finished filming The Conspirator (2010) and Gnomeo and Juliet (2011). He will be seen in The Conspirator (2010) with Robin Wright, Justin Long, Evan Rachel Wood, Johnny Simmons, Alexis Bledel and Norman Reedus.

Gnomeo and Juliet (2011) is a CGI animated film, retelling Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet using gnomes. Emily Blunt will voice Juliet and James McAvoy is Gnomeo. The film also featured voices of Jason Statham, Michael Caine, Patrick Stewart and Maggie Smith, and produced by Sir Elton John.

James McAvoy will be reprising his role as Wesley Gibson in Wanted 2 (2011) and he will also star as Professor Charles Xavier in X-Men: First Class (2011). I cannot wait for both films!
