Who is Katie Cassidy?

Katie Cassidy was born on 25 November 1986. She’s probably best known for her role in Supernatural as the sexy demon, Ruby, and for her role as Trish Wellington in Harper’s Island.

Katie Cassidy is the daughter of the 70s pop idol David Cassidy, and the granddaughter of actors Jack Cassidy and Evelyn Ward. She has appeared in several movies, such as When A Stranger Calls (2006) alongside Camilla Belle, Click (2006) alongside Adam Sandler, and Black Christmas (2006) alongside Michelle Trachtenberg and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. She also played a minor role in Taken (2008), with Liam Neeson, Famke Jannsen, and Maggie Grace.

She was recently seen in A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010), alongside Jackie Earle Haley, Rooney Mara, and Kellan Lutz. Katie Cassidy will be seen next in the top secret Chris Carter movie, Fencewalker (2010).

Katie Cassidy was a regular on the CW series Melrose Place, playing Ella Simms, with Stephanie Jacobsen, Shain Sipos, Colin Egglesfield, Jessica Lucas, Michael Rady, and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz.

Since Melrose Place has been cancelled, Katie will be joining the Gossip Girl cast in season 4, premiering on 13 September 2010. She will be playing Nate Archibald's new girlfriend, who attends Columbia University.

Katie will also be seen with Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester, Glee's Cory Monteith, Selena Gomez, Andie MacDowell, Pierre Boulanger, Brett Cullen and George Mendel on a movie called Monte Carlo, which will be released on 11 February 2011.
