Fashion Friday #25 - Adele Rocks in Black Dresses

I love Adele! Love her style and everything about her, except maybe, the fact that she smokes. Anyway, here's a post dedicated to Adele and her fabulous little black dresses.

Adele has sported these gorgeous black dresses at the MTV Video Music Awards, 2012 Grammy Awards, and the recent Brit Awards 2012. I love how she looks classy and elegant in black. Black is always in!

I love the lace details on her dress, and how she looks good in long, flowing dresses and also in shorter, cocktail dresses. I think she looks fantastic. She makes me want to buy and wear a black dress too.

I've picked a Polyvore set of Adele, made by jacobs-lc-dash. Thanks for letting me feature your set! :)

Fashion Friday #24 - Celebrity Pixie Haircuts

I've always been envious of women who can pull off pixie haircuts, or rather those who are brave enough to have their hair cut that short.

I've compiled pics of my favourite celebrities sporting the cute, super short pixie cut. Contrary to popular belief, pixie cuts are not only for women with a certain face shape. Women with all types of face shapes, be it oval, heart, round, square or angular can definitely pull this look.

However, the length of the cut and how you style it determines how it will look on you. A pixie cut will surely makes your eyes pop, especially on a sleek-back pixie cut. You can use hair products such as styling cream, gel or pomade to keep your pixie cut in place.

What I like most about pixie haircuts? It's totally manageable and easy to style!

Fashion Friday #23 - Dress Like Dr. Spencer Reid

Geeky style has never gone out of fashion. If you ask me, I'm all for geeky fashion. Nowadays, you can dress geeky and chic at the same time.

I've been watching Criminal Minds from the earliest to the latest season, and my favourite character, Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) has never failed to look so geeky good. For men, dressing geeky has never been easier.

Men's cardigans, collared button-down shirts, sweaters, sweater vests and trousers would look geeky chic. Classic and retro patterns in neutral colours such as khaki, grey, white or light blue would work well for the look. Always tuck your shirt in, and wear slim neck ties.

Accessorise with nerdy glasses, like black horn-rimmed glasses donned by Dr. Reid. I love his sunglasses too!

Bring around geeky props like a messenger bag filled with books and notes, and stick a pen in your shirt pocket. There you go!

Fashion Friday #22 - Get Katherine Pierce's Southern Belle Look

Katherine Pierce is a character played by actress Nina Dobrev on CW's The Vampire Diaries. The show is currently at it's second season, and Nina Dobrev's vampire character, Katherine Pierce has been getting a lot of attention.

I know I wrote a post way back in May about Katherine Pierce vs. Elena Gilbert, but I just cannot help it. I particularly love her Southern Belle look. I love the dresses and accessories, and I think Nina Dobrev plays Katherine very well.

Southern Belle dresses are huge and heavy, although nowadays, the dresses may be made with lighter materials so that they're easier to wear. They're available at various costume stores. You can also learn to make your own Southern Belle dress.

Essential accessories for Southern Belle include choker necklaces, mesh gloves, hand fan, and on a sunny day, a wide hat and a parasol. Victorian ankle boots complement the whole look, and typical Southern Belles have long, elaborate curls adorned with flowers, lace, and ribbons. You can get wigs with curls too, if you prefer not to have your hair curled.

Not too late to get this look for Halloween, don't you think?

Fashion Friday #21 - Dress Like Katy Perry for Halloween

Selena Gomez has confessed that she'll be dressing up just like Katy Perry in California Girls, blue wig and all! I think Selena will definitely look great, but perhaps not with the whipped cream bikini top.

From Katy Perry's early look, which was all vintage, sexy pin-up girl, to still sexy but more futuristic and daring tight mini dresses and short skirts, you bet they all look great to sport this Halloween.

Go for themes like Vegas casino just like Katy Perry did. These would look great especially if you're going to a themed Halloween party. It's also excellent for casino themed bachelorette parties.

If looking overly sexy is not your thing, you can still dress like Katy Perry. Invest on loads of bright, bold accessories. Think fun, kawaii and quirky but not childish.

Have fun this Halloween!

Fashion Friday #20 - Dress Like Taylor Momsen

As much as I love how cute Taylor Momsen looked when Gossip Girl first started back in 2007, I love her current grungy style.

Taylor Momsen's sweet early Gossip Girl days

This rocker chic has been seen sporting a lot of black eyeliner and black clothes numerous times, and some may say black is boring, but I beg to differ. I have always been a fan of black clothes, although I currently try to buy and wear other colours as well.

Taylor Momsen's two different rocker chick looks

The rocker chick look has been around since forever, and we've seen Courtney Love, Avril Lavigne and even Demi Lovato sporting this look. The easiest way to sport a rocker chick look is by wearing faded or torn jeans with a t-shirt of your favourite rock band.

Taylor Momsen in a long coat (left) and in a black jacket (right)

Wear a jacket if the weather permits, and a pair of dark sunglasses completes your look. You can wear grey with black, or replace black with dark grey for a cool fall look. Tights or leggings are optional, but wearing a plain black pair of leggings will give you a more polished look than wearing leggings with patterns.

Taylor Momsen does the boho look quite well. I love her boho look in the pic, and she still manages to look like a rocker chick with her dark aviator sunglasses.

Anyway, I'm not trying to suggest that teens should dress 100 percent like Taylor Momsen because you might end up looking cheap and skanky if it's not done right. However, it'll be cool to sport some of her rocker chick look. Maybe pick up some ideas of what to wear for the upcoming Paramore concert?

Fashion Friday #19 - Wear Boots Like A Celebrity

I love boots and how they look on celebrities. Can't wear them here in my summer-all-year-round country, though. If you love wearing boots or want to learn to wear a pair, take some ideas from your favourite celebs.

Boots are hot this fall, of course, with the season getting colder and boots help warm you up. There are many styles to choose from, such as ankle boots, mid-calf boots, knee-high boots, over-the-knee boots and thigh-high boots.

Lucy Hale in black Ruthie Davis ankle boots with studs
There are ways to wear these different boots with style. Ankle boots are best worn with tights and short skirts that fall higher than your knee. Longer skirts will make you look frumpy.

Kate Beckinsale and Anna Faris in mid-calf boots

Britt Robertson in mid-calf boots
Mid-calf boots look great with all lengths of skirts, and they can be worn with jeans too. Same goes for knee-high boots, although knee-high boots should be worn over your jeans if it's skinny or under your jeans if it's boot-cut.

Taylor Swift and Troian Bellisario in knee-high boots

Over-the-knee or thigh-high boots are trickier to wear. If you have the attitude to match, such high boots would look great.

Blake Lively and Ciara in over-the-knee or thigh high boots

So many styles to choose from, such as Cowboy boots, pointed, round toe, sheepskin or Ugg style, and biker boots to name a few.

Just match them to the occasion with the right outfit and attitude, and you're good to go.

Fashion Friday #18 - Kim Kardashian's Look at Emmy Awards 2010 Red Carpet

I've always avoided wearing white for some reasons, but Kim Kardashian wore white and looks super hot!

At the recent 2010 Emmy Awards Red Carpet, Kim Kardashian looks stunning in a white Marchesa dress, which made her look gorgeous. The Grecian princess for the night also wore a beautiful wrist cuff by Lorraine Schwartz.

It's amazing how it says that Kim Kardashian gained some weight, but in that beautiful Marchesa dress, she still looks amazing. The dress accentuates her features perfectly and fake tan or not, her skin definitely glows.

Dresses with neckline details such as the Marchesa dress does not require much accessorising. Keep your hair, makeup and jewelleries plain and simple, so that they don't bring attention away from the gorgeous gown.

Fashion Friday #17 - Dress Like Katie Cassidy in Grey

Grey is one of the hottest colours to wear this fall, and Katie Cassidy has been seen sporting serious grey on the set of Gossip Girl recently.

Looking super hot in a McQ grey shift dress with zippers while filming a scene with Chace Crawford, Katie Cassidy certainly looks the part.

I'm not a huge fan of grey, but I'd like to add some grey into my wardrobe. Here's a cute dress from Forever 21. This dark grey, crinkled cotton dress can be worn on its own, or paired with dark skinny jeans and a matching handbag. This dress costs only $12.90!

You can also introduce grey in your wardrobe by wearing grey accessories such as grey plastic bangles or bead necklaces, or even wear grey fedora hats. Love it!
